Huckleberry Lane Apartments
Roof, siding, and boiler replacement for 12 low rise buildings with 24 units of affordable public rental housing for the Brewster Housing Authority. Funded by DHCD Formula Funding, HILAPP, CPA, and a Comprehensive Sustainability Initiative (CSI) grant, the goal was maximum energy conservation and emission reductions within a defined budget. Testing, site visits, analysis and cost estimating resulted in cost optimal improvements, including new siding, roofing, drainage plane, air sealing, continuous wall insulation, extra roof insulation, new windows, and high efficiency boilers. The project was publicly bid (Chapter 149) and was completed in October 2021.
